台灣山毛櫸步道在太平山國家森林遊樂區的翠峰屋旁邊，全長3.8公里，來回曆時4小時。來自馬來西亞的我，很榮幸可以見到這種從冰河世紀遺留下來的植物。“天將降大任於斯人也，必先苦其心志，勞其筋骨，餓其體膚，行拂亂其所為”這句名句精華，用來形容我們見到山毛櫸的過程最貼切不過了。
The Taiwan Beech Trail is located next to
the Cueifong Villa within the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area and
it has a length of 3.8 km. We took total of 4 hours to complete the trail to
and fro. I am so lucky that I had a chance to view the tree species which had
been surviving since ice age. We had been going through a lot of hardship to
meet this unique tree.
步道風景美如布畫，可是我的小相機無法把真實美感給攝下來…… 簡單來說，整體感覺就像白雪公主與七個小矮人的場景。
The view along the trail was amazing. I am
so sorry that my little camera couldn’t shoot and show the beauty of nature. In
a simple word, the trail was just like in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
起霧的時候，四周變得白茫茫一片，像是愛麗絲夢遊仙境。加上到處都是檜木香味，讓人心曠神怡。
I was very excited whenever there is mist
around. The view is eye catching and it was like the scene as in Alice in
Wonderland. I love it so much as there always the nice Cypress smell around
which makes me feel happy and energetic.
經歷了兩小時的徒步路程，終於見到了“傳說中”的山毛櫸~~ 歡呼~~ 它的樹幹和普通的樹大有不同，奇形怪狀的，煞是好看！據說，最漂亮的季節是秋天，山毛櫸葉子會轉為金黃色。旅行社會在這時候賜予 “黃金之旅”的美稱給山毛櫸步道。
After two hours of trekking, we finally
reached the paradise of Taiwan Breech. Yipee~ The tree trunk of it is different
from the rest species of tree that we had seen quite often. According to those
with experience, the best time to visit Taiwan Breech trail is during autumn
because the tree leaves turn into golden yellow.
除了步道美景的驚喜，隊友們也給我帶來了莫大的生日驚喜！真的很感謝大夥兒！！
Besides the surprising nice view along the
trail, my team mates had given me a bigger surprise! I appreciate it so much!!

第一次在高山上海拔近2千公尺上，有人為我高唱生日歌的感覺，真的好感動！雖然沒有當場飆淚，可是我真的心存感激。謝謝你們！
It’s the first time I celebrate my birthday
on the mountain 2000 metres above the sea level, I am so touched! Although I
didn’t tear on the spot but I sincerely thank you guys for giving me such an
unforgettable memory. Thank you so much!!
